The Patient's Apple Crunch

the patient sure loved apples ... try this recipe.

Apple Crunch
Bring to a boil:
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple juice
A pinch of salt
Then mix in:
2/3 cup of nine-grain cereal
After about 1 minute of cooking:
Stir in 1 large Jonathan or McIntosh apple, diced (unpeeled)
Cook about 5 more minutes.
Top with cinnamon-sugar.
