On August 7, 1959, Bobby Darin opened at the Legendary
Cloister nightclub In LA. To wish him luck, his friends from Csida-
Crean Associates back in Manhattan
made a short recording which was sent to him on opening night.
It was recorded in Joe Csidas office.
The
friends heard on the recording included
Harriet ("Not yet Harriet!") Wasser,
who
organized the get-together: Joe Csida,
Bobby's former manager; Ed Burton, Bobby's former manager and "bowling
instructor";
Frank Barone, Bobby's attorney; Bob (Hutch ) Davie, a composer and arranger for the agency; Judy Tannen,a friend and associate of
Steve and Eydie;
Jerry Weintrab, who went on to produce numerous movies in Hollywood;
Lois, a secretary for the agency; Bob Steinberg, an accountant at the agency; fellow
teen idol and friend
Jimmie Rodgers and close friend and classmate
Don Kirshner
& his
wife Sheila.
