The PBS special on Bobby Darin's life was just the most special program. Your father was a great talent. I did not realize that he left us at such a very young age. I wish you the greatest birthday ever, but you already have the best gift when you were born, two very special parents, Bobby Darin and Sa dra Dee.

Dodd, just a quick note to say that my previous e-mail address was incorrect. Also to add how exciting this surge of interest in your dad is, from the CD releases to the PBS special. The writer/director called me during its production and I gave some ba kground -- and pointed out that Frank Sinatra had died on your father's birthday, forever linking the two greatest swinging balladeers.

Happy Birthday from a fan in NY who just read your book (yeah, I know, a little late-we just added it to our local library's collection last week) and really loved it!! It was so interesting. Now I have to go out and find all your Dad's recordings and mo ies and see all your Mom's movies (again). I hope "the movie" I keep hearing about gets made-I know for sure my absolute favorite actor-Kevin Spacey-is real interested. wow-that would be something.
