Mack Is Back Visit Rotunda Jewelers for the latest creation put together by Susan Schooley and Dana Munsey. This piece is a beautiful representation of the 50th anniversary of "Mack the Knife" and Bobby's career. The pendant size can be reduced for a lapel pin or made as a key chain. The musical lineup includes standards and the traditional Christmas songs of: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nate King Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Perry Como, the songs of Andy Williams, Karen Carpenter's classic "Merry Christmas Darling," The Harry Simeone Chorale, Jewel, BOBBY DARIN’S bittersweet rendition of "Christmas Auld Land Syne," ... Thanks to Susan Schooley for this information. Update 9/15/08: Bobby's Music Remembered Always ...Bobby's "Mack the Knife" was Number 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 All-Time Top Songs. Italian-American Favorites in Music.” The special was a tribute to well-known singers/entertainers who were of Italian heritage or who sang songs that had that Italian feel, such as BD, Connie Francis, Perry Como, Julius La Rosa, and others. BD’s segment featured him singing “Mack the Knife. The show was hosted by Danny Aiello, who has an album coming out and who said during the show that BD was a contemporary of his and was the biggest influence on his style of singing. If you called the PBS station during one of the breaks, you could also get a 3-CD set of the same name. BD’s song “Beyond the Sea” is on that CD. Thanks to Mandy Turner for this information. Update 3/30/08: Bobby's Music and Beyond ...Beyond the Song Producers participate in Q/A Session with our Darinfan members! Jason Cilo, one of the BTS producers, contacted us and offered his and Henry Astor's assistance in sharing their insights into the making of this film. Of course we were thrilled at the opportunity! BTS, which originally aired on PBS in 1998, was an honest, accurate and heartwarming portrayal of Bobby. To this day, it is still considered to be a favorite with those who respected him and appreciated his work. The response from Bobby's fans was overwhelming.
