I have written to you a couple of times (in care of your editor) expressing how much I admired your Dad, Bobby Darin. Dodd- Hi there! I'm 18 years old and have been a major fan of your mom's for about three years now. She was and still is a stunningly beautiful lady. Your dad was an amazing singer. I have his greatest hits and I love listening to his voice. Dream Lover is one of my favorite songs. Between the two of them, they couldn't help but have one very talented, good looking kid. :) I hope you have a Very happy birthday, a Merry, blessed Christmas and may God continue to shower your family with blessings in the coming y ar. Dodd: I had to come back and add some more to my comments of a couple of weeks ago. Last week I finally got to see the PBS special and it was truly marvelous. All of the TV footage (especially his first appearance) was so fantastic plus those all too brief clips of him at the Cocoanut Grove just took my breath away! Any chance that a video of his Cocoanut Grove appearance could become available someday? I wanted to say that I thought that the special (long overdue IMO) did a really good job in showing how much talent and influence your dad had with other performers. I sometimes think that, over time, people have sort of brushed your dad off, but this special proved that well respected, well known entertainers were in awe of his talent (i.e. Sammy Davis, Jr. for one example) and were heavily influenced by him. I thought that one of the most touching moments of the special was when you were talking about how much you miss him and they showed that picture of you at the Cocoanut Grove in your little tux staring up at your dad with those big eyes and that admiring smile on your face. I've never met your mom or dad, but I can cert inly tell that you were definitely the most important part of their lives (anyone can see via that special how close your Dad was with you) and I only wish that he could've seen your beautiful daughter. It is also apparent that regardless of what she sai (she'd would've NEVER given you to the Martians...moms say that, but they would never do it :-))you have a loving, devoted mom who's very proud of you. Well, I've taken up enough bandwidth, so I'll sign off now and let someone else have a turn! Take care and hope you've had a great birthday! too.

thank you so much for the wonderful documentary!!I'm 22 Darin fan and think he was positively one of a kind...thank you for helping to preserve your fathers work. I just don't think that there is anyone cooler or for that matter a better singer than your father. Just got the reissue of "Doctor Doolittle" and I've played it at least 50 times...have a very happy birthday dave king
