May 7-17, 1959: Bobby opens for George Burns at Harrah's, Lake Tahoe.
May 13 - 18, 1969: Darin plays the Troubadour, L.A. with four piece band, sings songs from Direction LPs and debuts "Simple Song of Freedom."
May 14, 1936: Walden Robert Cassotto (Bobby Darin) is born.
May 15, 1968: Bobby performs at The Cave in Vancouver. Songs: "Mack the Knife," "Pass By Me," "Under My Skin," "Someone to Watch
Over Me" and "Talk to the Animals." (Thanks, Cathy Merra, for this information.)
May 16, 1964: "Milord" debuts on the Billboard Charts. The ATCO single (#6297) would peak at #45 and chart for 9 weeks.
May 19, 1959: Bobby records "The Breeze and I," "My Gal Sal," "The Gal That Got Away," "Down
with Love," "Sunday Kind of Love," "Pete Kelly's Blues," "Since My Love Was
Gone" and "Black Coffee" for ATCO. Some of these recordings would appear
on the LP (#33-115) "This Is Darin".
May, 1957: Bobby records for ATCO "Wear My Ring," "Million Dollar Baby,"
"Talk to Me Something" and "Just in Case You Change Your Mind" in Nashville.
May, 1962: Bobby introduces "folk" segment into his act, accompanying himself on guitar for "Cottonfields," at the Copa.
May, 1967: Bobby Darin In London aired in England.
May, 1968: Bobby campaigns for Robert Kennedy.
May, 1970: Bobby takes out newspaper ads denouncing U.S. invasion of Cambodia.
