Ron is one of the original performers to pay tribute to Bobby Darin. Because of
his love and deep respect for Bobby's amazing talent, Ron has continued for the
past 26 years to pay tribute to the late, great Bobby, intent upon keeping his
memory alive. Had Bobby lived, we all know that he would have been the next
Frank Sinatra.
Ron brought his dream to reality with a
first-class performance on the life of Bobby Darin that showcased in Miami Beach at the famous
Fontainebleau Hotel,Tropigala Showroom, January through March
2006. The show was a full musical production, including a cast of beautiful backup singers and
dancers in spectacular Vegas-style costumes, that takes you through Bobby's
Bandstand days, to the Copacabana, and on to Las Vegas, where Bobby became the
highest-paid performer of his time. (Bobby performed at the Tropigala; Frank
Sinatra was the first performer ever to play that room.) We have a true friend
in Connie Francis, and Ron performs a duet (on video) with Connie. Ten shows,
over a three-month period, brought an audience of over 4,000 with standing
ovations and rave reviews at every performance!!!
Ron, producer and star of "Look Out! Ol' Bobby's
Back!," has now taken the show on the road. In the past two months, we have
played at legitimate theatres in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and
Alabama, always to standing ovation crowds, with as many as 1,000 in the
audience at a venue.
We hope to be in Vegas on Bobby's birthday, May 14, 2007, to honor Bobby
with his "STAR" on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars - with The Tribute to Bobby - "Look Out! Ol'
Bobby's Back!" It's going to be a nostalgic happening.
