"Best New Artist of 1959" Grammy winner Bobby Darin was a talented and dynamic performer who packed an enormous amount of talent, energy and excitement into a very versatile singing career that ended, tragically, too soon. Bobby was a special entertainer and his impact in the music industry lives on in his music.

It finally happened!!
Bobby was honored with a 2010 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award!!

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Academy recognized Bobby as a performer who, during his lifetime, “made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording.”

A formal acknowledgment was made during the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 31, 2010 and broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

A special invitation-only ceremony was held on January 30, 2010. Bobby's son, Dodd Darin, accepted the award on behalf of his father.
