Happy Mother's Day, Love George (1973)

A/K/A Run Stranger Run

Bobby Darins last film was Happy Mothers Day, Love George. Later retitled Run Stranger Run the film was released in August of 1973. Directed and produced by Darren McGavin, the film also starred Patricia Neal, Ron Howard,and Cloris Leachman as Bobby's live-in girlfriend.

Bobby plays chain-smoking short-order cook "Eddie" in Run Stranger Run who is somewhat jealous of the sudden reappearance of his girlfriends son (played by Ron Howard). Eddies anger results in a big assault against the teenager.

Sadly, Bobbys scenes in the movie are all too short before his character is murdered. Run Stranger Run was available on home video at one time, but appears to have been discontinued.
