On November 10, 1972, Bobby Darin guest starred on the hottest variety program of the TV season, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour on the CBS network.

A musical highlight of the hour was Mr. Darin performing Randy Newman's "Sail Away."

Bobby displayed his talent for comedy that had been evident on his summer variety show The Bobby Darin Amusement Company just months before.
