BOBBY DARIN - "The talented singer spent his summers on South Beach in Staten Island where he met other teenage
singers who later formed Doo-Wop groups such as The Elegants and the Brooklyn Bridge. Darin performed in a
range of music genres, including pop, rock, jazz, folk and country. He had many hit singles, the first of which was
"Splish Splash" in 1958, but is most well known for "Mack the Knife" a #1 hit in US and England in 1959."

On May 11, 2012 Darin Archivist, Jimmy Scalia, attended the opening night reception to represent Bobby
and to help announce the opening of this fine musical exhibition.
