Roger Mcguinn Quoting from The
Byrds FAQS "After touring for two years with
singer Bobby Darin, McGuinn moved to New York where he worked in the
fabled Brill Building, as a songwriter. He co-wrote and performed with
Darin as the "City Surfers" on a very rare surf single, "Beach
Ball," released on Capitol Records in July of 1963. Bobby
was Mr. McGuinn's mentor.
